  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the peanut butter, butter, and both sugars until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the egg and mix until combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the baking sheet. Gently flatten each ball with your palm.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden.
  8. Remove from the oven and while still warm, press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie.
  9. Once cooled slightly, attach candy eyes to the chocolate kiss using a small dab of melted chocolate or frosting to form the spider.
  10. Allow the cookies to cool completely before serving.
