These Peanut Butter Spider Cookies are a fun and spooky treat, perfect for Halloween or any festive occasion. Ingredients
- 1 cup peanut butter (smooth)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- Chocolate kisses (for the spiders)
- Candy eyes or mini chocolate chips (for decoration)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the peanut butter, butter, and both sugars until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and mix until combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the baking sheet. Gently flatten each ball with your palm.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden.
- Remove from the oven and while still warm, press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie.
- Once cooled slightly, attach candy eyes to the chocolate kiss using a small dab of melted chocolate or frosting to form the spider.
- Allow the cookies to cool completely before serving.
